well today was the day! jace took his first shot at crawling. he was so cute!!! it was definitely a belly schooching type of crawl but he did move forward and he was using his arms and legs. i was wrapping a Christmas gift and there was a plastic bag sitting next to me. he kept reaching for the bag and i was moving it out of his reach and before i realized it he was crawling. i loved it. i am going to have to baby-proof the house this weekend. he has been trying to pull up on our dining room chairs which is kind of scary. i am afraid that he will pull one over on himself while i am not looking. it is amazing how fast a little chunky baby can move when you turn your head. we had some friends over tonight and they have a little girl that is jace's age. when they walked in the door he was so excited to see her that he started laughing and kicking his legs and waving his arms. it is so funny to see them interact. they sat across from each other most of the time and took toys away from each other and laughed. i loved it. jace ate some broccoli tonight and did pretty well with it. he wasn't crazy about it but he ate everything that i gave him.

Oh, my!!
yeah, that pretty much sums up my day. i worked today in gymboree from 9-2:30 and it was insanely busy. i didn't get a break at all and i was on my feet the whole time. i guess it is a good thing that wore my birkenstocks. i got home just in time to get jace up from his nap and he was so sweet. he just snuggled with me and giggled for an hour. while he munched on some fruit puffs, i made pickle wraps for my bowling night and cooked a vegetable beef soup. josh and i finally hung our pictures and mirrors in our place... its really about time since we have lived here for two weeks. tonight we had our bowling Christmas party so everyone brought a gift and a finger food. i actually got a strike in the third frame. joshua and jace came up to the bowling alley for a little while and jace ate some crackers while i bowled. he was so happy. i got home at about 9:30 and started cleaning the kitchen. jace woke up at about 10 crying. i went in to get him and he was so sweet, he just laid his head on my shoulder and went back to sleep. i love those moments. then i reorganized some of my drawers and cabinets, i still feel like my kitchen is not completely functional. joshua and i are just hanging out, watching tv and doing internet research before we head off to bed.

Our day...

Today, my two handsome men and I went to church. It was so fun to sing Christmas worship music and Jace loved it!! He made noise with us and moved around the whole time. We hang out at my dad's house on most Sundays so that is where we spent our afternoon. We were enjoying some chips and dip when the not-so-brilliant idea came to me that Jace might like to try a chip. Needless to say he kind of choked and I panicked. He was totally fine, but it was followed by me feeling like the world's worst mother... I think we have all felt that way at one moment. He is getting his two top incisors, but I think we have gotten this teething thing down to an art now. He really loves his teething tablets and I would just about swear by them. He is so curious all the time and loves to roll around and get things. He is getting in the crawling position several times a day and I am so excited to see him take off!
